Dynamo Makhachkala
Dynamo Makhachkala lost away to Krylia Sovetov in the previous round (0:2). Their win over Rubin Kazan remains the home side’s only victory in their last six league matches (one draw, four defeats), although only for the second time in that run have the team conceded more than once. Dynamo Makhachkala vs Orenburg: Match Prediction
The home side once again failed to score in the previous round, but this is no longer the same team that, in the first half of the campaign, did not really try to attack away from home. Dynamo Makhachkala created chances against the Samara side, and by xG the club produced enough for more than one goal. We are confident that, at home, the team coached by Vadim Evseev will be even more proactive, and the desire to make amends in front of their supporters will provide extra motivation.
The mood in the visitors’ camp is far better. There was a bit of luck involved last time out, but they still beat an awkward opponent. What is more, Zenit – a side with one of the league’s most reliable defences – conceded twice. Since the season resumed, the attacking exploits of Ildar Akhmetzyanov’s men have so far come at home, but we are confident the team are capable of starting to score away as well. After all, the players will surely want to end their away goal drought as soon as possible. That said, keeping a clean sheet on the road for the first time this season is unlikely.
Prediction: Over 1.5 goals
